We looked at the best overall time to visit postcard-perfect Hawaii, combining all important holiday factors.
April-May and September-October
Even though Hawaii is a year-round sunshine destination, October to March, especially March, is when Hawaii sees the most rainfall. The dry, summer season runs from April until September, but June to August is tourist season. We’d recommend the shoulder months of April to May and September to October for a balance of well-priced accommodation, dry sunny days and minimal crowds.
Hawaii is located close to the equator so temperatures hover between 23-37°C.
Hawaii is a popular holiday destination for everyone, from American families to Australian travellers to Canadian sun-seekers, so avoid public holidays (Christmas, Easter) and school breaks when prices can skyrocket.
Best time to visit Hawaii, weather-wise: The temperature is pleasant year-round, but April to October has the least rainfall.
Cheapest time to visit Hawaii: The best hotel prices tend to be available in May to June and in September.
