BPme Rewards can help you save a few cents per gallon while streamlining your experience at the station — you'll select a pump and pay through the app, with no need to ever touch the kiosk keypad.
But you need to spend at least $100 per month to keep the savings going. And it can't be combined with any Fuel Points you earn through a grocery store loyalty program.
BPme Rewards is a loyalty program that can help you save money at BP and Amoco gas stations. When you sign up, you'll save $0.05 cents per gallon for one month. After that first month, your ability to keep saving depends on whether you spend at least $100 on gas in the previous month.
The loyalty program only applies to gas — you can't earn points or save money on car washes or items you buy inside.
Use the app to find the nearest BP or Amoco station. Pull into the station and use the app to select a pump. Your payment method will automatically be charged, and the receipt will be delivered automatically. So all you have to do is fuel up and continue on your way.
If you don't have the app, you can still use BPme Rewards by entering your phone number at the kiosk.
The amount you save depends on the capacity of your fuel tank, how often you fill up on gas and the price per gallon.
To give you an idea of how BPme Rewards could actually impact your budget, here's how much you'd save monthly and yearly. We used the AAA's estimate that the average cost of gas is about $2.50 per gallon, as of February 2021:
12 gallon tank | $120 monthly | $117.60 | $2.40 | $24 |
15 gallon tank | $150 monthly | $147 monthly | $3 | $36 |
Keep in mind that if you use BPme with a BP credit card, you'll earn $0.10 per gallon and your savings will double.
Price Match is a service that you can sign up for within BPme to help you save even more money. After you fuel up at a BP station, Price Match will check the cost of gas at all Exxon, Mobil, Shell, Chevron and Marathon stations located within a two-mile radius. If it finds a cheaper price elsewhere, it will make up the difference by awarding you up to $0.05 per gallon that will automatically be applied to your next fuel purchase.
It costs $0.99 monthly to use Price Match.
After you sign up for BPme rewards, download the app to start using it at the pump. You can do this through the App Store, Google Play or by texting APP to 38831.
BP has partnered with Harris Teeter, Mariano's and Kroger so that you can earn Fuel Points through the loyalty programs at each of these grocery stores. However, these Fuel Points cannot be combined with your BPme Rewards and must be used separately.
If you visit BP or Amoco stations on the regular, there's no downside to using BPme Rewards. But if there's not one nearby or you don't spend $100 on gas every month, it's not worth signing up.
Email bpconsumer@bp.com or call 800-333-3991 for help with your BPme account.
BPme Rewards accepts all major credit and debit cards, along with PayPal. It does NOT accept prepaid debit cards, gift cards or fleet cards.
Yep — but only if you're also purchasing fuel. If you want to buy a car wash but not gas, you'll need to do so through the car wash kiosk or by going inside.
