When is the best time to score Black Friday and Cyber Monday travel savings?

You might be eager to book your first vacation of 2018, but even though you can find some great deals on flights, hotels and vacation packages during Cyber Weekend, that doesn’t mean that you should book the very first trip you find.

In years past, the Saturday, Sunday and Monday following Black Friday have proven to be some of the best times to save big on travel. Here are a few essential booking tips to remember on Cyber Weekend:

  • Have your destination in mind before starting your search. Even though you might come across unbeatable deals on a trip to Switzerland, if you set out to find vacation packages to Florida, these won’t do you much good. Enter your destination before comparing prices.
  • Read the fine print. Make sure you know what is and is not included in the final price. Double-check to see if flights are round-trip and whether vacation and cruise packages are all-inclusive.
  • Date flexibility can save you even more. If you can be flexible with your departure and arrival dates, you may be able to find even cheaper flights, hotels and rental cars, depending on your destination.

When do Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales end?

Black Friday sales are supposed to end close of business on Friday, however many retailers extend their sale dates through the weekend and onto the following Monday (Cyber Monday).

Not all retailers extend their sales, so if you’ve got your eye on a deal, it’s best to check when it ends to miss out on the bargain! Remember, the really good deals may sell out sooner than they expire, so it’s best to book early.
