Battlefield 1 is dirt cheap right now thanks to EA and Origin Access
The brutal WWI shooter joins Titanfall 2 as part of EA’s free games initiative.
Electronic Arts is really stepping up its game with its Netflix-style EA Access and Origin Access programs. Earlier this month, the publisher added the slick sci-fi shooter Titanfall 2 to the service’s all-you-can-play library, and today it’s sweetened the pot even more with the addition of the haunting WWI FPS Battlefield 1.
We had a magnificent time with Battlefield 1 when we reviewed it late last year, and in the months since the game has received no shortage of new weapons, maps and entire armies, along with the announcement of an upcoming esports mode to be shown off at this year’s Gamescom event.
If you’re not familiar with EA Access or Origin Access, both are subscription services that let you play any game in EA’s Vault for free, for as long as you’re an active subscriber. EA Access is the name given to the service on PS4 and Xbox One, while Origin Access is simply the name for the service on PC. Alongside Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1, the Vault includes games like NHL 17, Star Wars Battlefront and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
