Badgley Mischka getting into cosmetics
The renowned fashion brand has agreed to work on new cosmetics and fragrance lines.
The high-fashion reputation of designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka will soon extend into cosmetics now that the pair have struck an agreement with investment group TPR Holdings.
The two will collaborate first on the inaugural Badgley Mischka fragrance, which is initially expected to come in three sizes when it’s launched this spring. Watch for a 100ml bottle, 50ml bottle and travel purse spray. After that, Badgley Mischka anticipates a summer launch of its color cosmetics line.
“The beauty category is a natural extension of our design philosophy,” Mischka said.
“Our style embodies the glamorous Hollywood of the 40s. Part of that glamour is in the getting ready process. We are creating a lifestyle, and through fragrance and cosmetics we will be able to offer a more intimate way of bringing women the Badgley Mischka experience.”
The Badgley Mischka brand appeals most to “a younger, more modern couture customer”, TPR stated, and its most famous customers have included celebrities such as Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Sharon Stone, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet, Sarah Jessica Parker, Helen Mirren and Ashley Judd.

As the Badgley Mischka cosmetics debut draws near, watch the stores where its other fashions are sold, like Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.
