    When you make your first purchase within 90 days of account opening, you earn 20,000 bonus LifeMiles. It’s one of the easiest signup bonuses you can get and has a high value.
  • LifeMiles.
    Earn 2x miles on Avianca purchases and 1x miles on any other purchases you make.
  • Intro APR period on balance transfers.
    Use a 0% intro APR on balance transfers for 12 months following your account opening. After that, a variable APR of 13.24% to 26.24% applies.
  • Discount on miles purchases.
    Get a 15% discount on miles you purchase with the Multiply Your Miles feature. Multiply the miles you’ve earned in the last 12 months on Avianca flights, miles from Avianca LifeMiles credit card or other Avianca’s commercial partners.
  • Visa benefits.
    As a Visa card, you get car rental insurance, travel accident insurance, zero liability for unauthorized charges and emergency card replacement.

What to watch out for

  • Annual fee.
    You’ll have to pay a yearly fee of $59 to own the card.
  • Balance transfer limitations.
    The intro APR period is only valid for balance transfers made within the first 90 days of your account opening.
  • Foreign transaction fee.
    When you use your card abroad and pay in US dollars, you’ll be charged a fee equal to 1% of the transaction.
  • Penalty APR.
    If you miss your minimum payment for 60 consecutive days from its due date, you’ll incur a fixed penalty APR of 29.99%. This APR applies until you pay your balance and pay on time for six months in a row.
