Apple Books lets you pay for each audiobook title as you listen — except for the occasional freebie.

Expert review

Apple Books offers plenty of audiobook titles for purchase, with some free titles thrown in every month. While it’s a seamless listening experience for iOS users, Android enthusiasts might be left in the cold.

And no monthly subscription means purchasing individual titles as you go — great for the occasional listener, but it can get pricey if you’re a die-hard audiobook lover.

As with any service, be sure to conduct your research to find the best audiobook service to meet your needs.
