By going online or downloading the free app, you can sift through the menus of nearly 30 restaurants in Ann Arbor. For a fee of $5.99 attached to every order, you can munch on nearly everything from soul food to Thai, to desserts and pizza. The service launched in Ann Arbor on December 7, 2017.

What Ann Arbor neighborhoods does Uber Eats deliver to?

At its launch in early December 2017, the Uber Eats delivery area was limited to downtown Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan’s campus, Burns Park and Kerrytown. Considering approximately 10,000 students live on campus, this is a fairly large population being served at the start of the service.

Is McDelivery available through Uber Eats in Ann Arbor?

Yes. The Golden Arches were part of the Uber Eats Ann Arbor launch in December. McDelivery allows you to order any food on the McDonald’s menu — besides soft-serve ice cream cones — and have it delivered. If it’s your first time using Uber Eats, you can get $5 of your first McDelivery by using the coupon code “MICHIGANMCDS“.

There are five McDonald’s participating in the program to date. These locations are:

How do I work for Uber Eats in Ann Arbor?

If you want to earn some extra cash on the side or make a full-time living out of delivering food around Ann Arbor, there are four requirements needed to apply:

  • Have at least one year of driving experience
  • Have a 2-door or 4-door car that is a 1997 model or newer
  • Be at least 19 years old.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration and auto insurance.

Grubhub is an online and mobile food ordering company that has 75,000 takeout restaurants in more than 1,300 US cities. Like Uber Eats, drivers deliver food from select restaurants. Grubhub offers a selection of 114 restaurants in the greater Ann Arbor area, four times as many as the opening offer of Uber Eats.
