Expert review

The Alaska Airlines Visa® Business credit card comes with a rewards program where you earn 3x miles with Alaska Airlines and 1x miles on all other purchases. In addition, you get to earn 40,000 miles and a companion fare from $121. The companion fare is a feature you get every year on your card anniversary.

On the downside, you don’t get a 0% intro APR period on purchases and balance transfers, and you’ll have to pay an annual fee of $50 for the company and $25 for each card you have. But this is easily offset by the companion fare you get each year.

Overall, this is a solid credit card for those who frequently fly with Alaska Airlines or their partners.

  • Alaska Airlines perks.
Save money when traveling with Alaska with a complimentary checked bag for you and up to six companions on the same reservation. That’s a savings of between $60 and $140 per person on a round-trip flight. You also get 50% discount on Alaska Lounge day passes and 20% off on your in-flight purchases.
  • Tools to monitor and limit employee spending.
Set individual spending limits for each employee card on your account. You’re also protected against unauthorized purchases on those cards. And through Bank of America’s MyReport Center, you can keep an eye on overall company spending, accessing reports to analyze transactions.

Your business is protected for up to $1 million in travel and car rental insurance on reservations charged to your card, including emergency ticket replacement and lost luggage assistance.

What to watch out for

  • Annual fee.

  • No intro APR period.
