What is Uber Eats delivery range in Akron?

The delivery range for Uber Eats in Akron presently includes all of the City of Akron, as well as the following suburbs.

  • Cuyahoga Falls

Is McDelivery available as part of Uber Eats in Akron?

Yes. The Golden Arches joined the Uber Eats Akron movement in mid-November 2017, about a week after Uber Eats debuted in the city. McDelivery allows you to order any food on the McDonald’s menu — outside of soft-serve ice cream cones — and have it delivered. Much like the rest of Uber Eats, customers must pay a $4.99 delivery fee. If it’s your first time using Uber Eats, you can get $5 off your first McDelivery by using the coupon code ‘EATSMCDS’.

How do I become a driver for Uber Eats in Akron?

Whether you already work for Uber or are just looking to get behind the wheel to make some extra cash, there are four requirements:

  • Have at least one year of driving experience
  • Have a 2-door or 4-door car that is less than 20 years old.
  • Be at least 19 years old.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

If you satisfy the requirements, you can apply to become an Uber Eats driver. If you’re already an uberX partner, you can start making deliveries immediately. In general, the busiest times for Uber Eats drivers are between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-9 p.m.

How does Uber Eats compare to Grubhub in Akron?

Grubhub is an online and mobile food ordering company that has 75,000 takeout restaurants in more than 1,300 US cities. Like Uber Eats, it employs drivers to deliver food from select restaurants. Compared to Uber Eats, Grubhub has a very narrow range of choices in the Akron market.
